Ascension Works began when Founder and President, Brandon Rousseau recognized a need within his community. He recognized the need to prepare students early. With growing opportunities in career fields that students weren’t being introduced to, he undertook his mission of “Teaching the World to Fish.” From humble beginnings himself, he understood the value of having inspiration.
Brandon developed a framework for promoting entrepreneurship, encouraging STEM-based careers, financial literacy, and exposing youth to arts based education. Through opening a pathway for access, opportunity and experience; he could inspire a future generation to achieve success. Ascension Works continues to grow and exponentially impacting communities by providing programs, curriculum, and training to organizations across the country and abroad.
“60% of youth will go into career fields that haven’t even been invented yet. If we don’t prepare them now, then we are excluding them forever. They will lose the race before they even have a chance to begin!”
